I bought a 3080ti Fe a couple of weeks ago, and will be ordering a new system to go with it in the next couple of days. One of the parts I have been umming and ahing about is the case, so I could do with some help!

  • The pc will be sat on the floor. It is a carpeted room, and it will be sat on either stiff card board, or a plank of wood. Either way I don't think a case setup to intake from the bottom of the case is a good idea.
  • Side panels/rgb are not a positive feature. I don't think the inside will be looked at, and in any case it is likely only the right panel will be visible.
  • Would like the case to be as quiet as possible! The pc will be in a communal open plan location, 2-3m from where people might be sitting on the sofa to watch TV, so would prefer that it is not too obnoxious.
My current (~11yr old) pc is in a fractal design, so I have a bit of a soft spot for them and liked the sound dampening features. I was thinking of a define 7,but wasn't sure it would be cool enough?

I would welcome related cooling suggestions, like fan setup, and whether it is better to go with aio or an air cooler?

I just built a new Alder Lake system with a 3080 Ti and bought a Phanteks P600S to go along with it.

I bought this one, great colour. ▷ Phanteks Eclipse P600S Glass Silent Midi Towe… | OcUK (overclockers.co.uk)

Hands down the best case I have ever had the pleasure to use, an absolute joy to work with.

Comes with HDD cages for 4x3.5 or SSD drives, plus there's already 3 x SSD in situ, and you can buy more HDD cages to hold up to 10!

I'd recommend an AIO, it can take up to a 360mm in the top where I have mine.

Can't recommend it enough.

How noisy do you find it?

Noisy is not in this case's vocabulary.

It is really quiet, I have ten fans in the system (counting two GPU fans which are zeroed at idle) and still can't quite believe how silent it is.

Really is an awesome case, and I can't see myself ever changing it, it's that good.

You don't have to take my word for it (though you should :P), check out the reviews.
