Help me plan a Pirate Party!

Hey,

Having a pirate-drinking party for a mate's birthday but not really done much planning! We will hopefully have a fair amount of rum which is ace, but does anyone know any good recipes for grog? Also, I went and bought pop-up pirate and need to come up with some good rules for a drinking game around it! I was thinking put all the swords in a bag and have each colour represent drinking a finger of a different drink... and if the pirate pops you have to down it!

Also, are there any good shops to get cheap pirate stuff; like a couple of flags, hook hands, eye patches etc?

Play ring of fire, always does seems to be a pirate type game :p

Not sure if posting links to a recipe site is allowed, but if you goto google and put in "grog recipes" quite a few come up.

EDIT: also check out http://www.talklikeapirate.com some good stuff on there
 
Ahoy there matey!

Have a rum theme running through it of course. Rum cocktails, such as the lovely mohita, and then there's my own invention which I don't mind revealing the recipe of:

The Blackbeard:
crushed ice
3 measures dark rum
1 measure scotch
1 dash blackcurrant
coke to top
cherry to garnish if you can be arsed
 
Pff, ninjas are cool but you can't beat and all-plundering, all-pillaging PIRATE :D

yozzer, that site was awesome and very cheap but delivery won't be in time I think :( know any common places I can get to in town?

Also I've found hundreds of grog recipes on Google, but just wondering is anyone has a tried and tested one that doesn't taste like crap :p

French Connection UK "Pirate Law"! He and his guests aren't real pirates, they're just a pack of people having fun. Besides, you haven't tasted my Blackbeard...it's like a rum and coke, only much much better!
