Help me settle on my build

I have looked at AMD and watched some comparison videos, but whilst the 9070XT is good, the Nvidia cards are still stronger (obviously game dependent and sometimes the difference is very close).

I appreciate the price premium is greater than the performance gain, but that's something I'm willing to take the hit on. Obviously, when DLSS vs FSR and RT is thrown into the mix that difference is greater.

This would be a different proposition if AMD ever went back into the high-end market I guess, but that doesn't look likely.

My 9070XT has been very good for 1440p, I think it's the best card for the price but if I could splurge I would get a 5080.

Re: the motherboard, thanks, I will change that. To go back to an earlier point, aside from USB4, does the Gigabyte Eagle originally suggested have any benefits over the Nitro?
(Compared to the B850M) The VRM specs look similar.

Eagle has an extra M.2 slot, USB4 (2x Type-C, there's only a USB 3.x Type-C on the Nitro), WIFI7 versus 6x and a couple of 1 lane slots at the bottom for add-in cards.

No DP on the rear I/O of the Eagle either, since they expect you to use DP via the USB4 ports.
Compared to the full-size Nitro+, USB4 is the main benefit. Sapphire is not an established brand, so BIOS updates/software support may also be less frequent.

My original thinking was to go for the 5080, but that lack of ram is a killer and it has nagged on me more and more. For 1440p I think the Ti is a better bet, and then I can think about upgrading down the line if something more enticing comes along.
