Is a kodak all in one c315

Now I have manually set the ip via the printers in built stuff to
192.168.1.5 and have reserved that IP for it in the router etc

so I enter manual static ip on the printer screens own setup
192.168.1.5
subnet 255.255.255 etc as default ?
gateway = 192.168.1.1 ? my router IP ?

Then I get " enter address of DNS server " ? is it this number below ?

Subnet will be 255.255.255.0. Gateway and DNS will be your routers address (These really don't matter as the Printer wont be accessing the internet) Then just use the CD that came with the Printer and it should detect it on the network and install.

printer not responding code :105-100003
cant be right that i am entering 192.168.1.1 twice ? you sure ?

Manual Ip setup so i enter 192.168.1.5
then it asks for gateway I enter 192.168.1.1
then it's subnet mask 255.255.255.0
then it asks for dns server i entered 192.168.1.1

I can see the printer in attached devices on router

don't get it then

Can get it connected to router and followed this to set up an xp computer to access it

Have you not just thought put the disc in and let bonjour do the work for you? When you install off the disc it should automatically detect the printer on the network as long as its online.

Probably a stupid question, but is your network actually on 192.168.1.x and also make sure the manual address you assigned isnt in use by any other machine.

*Edit* Just realised you said you tried the auto ip route. Is there any option to set everything back to default on the printer and also remove the reserved address on the router. Then just connect it to network with auto DHCP and then try the CD that came with the printer.

going to try all this tonight cant believe am being bested by a printer I think it could even be the signals aren't strong enough shall try downstairs both by the router.Yea I think I kinda know what I am doing with routers etc I have the printer reserved on it's default IP which is 192.168.1.9 in the router I don't use security I just use access control via mac address and it's all in the router as it should be, getting the printer connected to the router isn't the problem it's the xp machine that cant connect with it.
I tried it on my machine with win7 and it found the printer straight away so....

Appreciate the help never done a wireless printer before so all new to me.

MAJOR issue right there. MAC filtering is useless. Get WPA2 turned on ASAP.

btw guys it all worked fine figured out what it was

when you go to select the driver theres 2 that look exactly the same in the list both 315 kodak but you must choose the bottom one
