So guys I'm have the following components and I'm looking to upgrade to get max 4K ,

I m assuming my CPU , Board , Ram and drives are ok ?

7800X3D
64GB Ram
B650 Mainboard
2X 2TB M.02 drives
Asus TUF Gaming 1000W 80 Plus Gold
7900XTX
LG OLED42C34LA, 42 inch TV

The TV is awesome but since it sits 2 foot from my face and is only 122hz I'm looking to downsize it to a 32 inch wide screen. I also need higher hz for Overwatch , Fortnight and Apex

Looking at an alienware 32 4K QD 240HZ and an RTX 5090 to replace the LG a d the 7900xtx , anything else I might need ?

The only thing even remotely worth doing is getting a 5090, but I'd personally not bother given the cost. Maybe if you luck out on an FE and get a decent price selling your 7900xtx, but frankly I find the entire 5000 series underwhelming, and that's without concerns of missing ROP's and the awful power connector.

I'd skip this gen entirely tbh.

I actually have the alienware 32 4K QD 240HZ, have run it with a 5080 and 5090. The 5090 will be a pretty significant difference over your 7900 XTX, particularly if you use RT, and moreso with DLSS 4 transformer. But as others have said nothing else in there will hold you back at all at 4K, and even the GPU upgrade needs a good think given the price difference from your 7900 XTX. That's a lot of money.

Missing ROPS shouldn't be an issue as you can return whatever you get. The power connector might be a concern but I have a Thermal Grizzly Wireview hooked up to mine and that's keeping me optimistic.
