Hi all,

I need somebody to come and help me spend my £500 budget on some upgrades for my PC, I would definitely like to upgrade my graphics card though otherwise I have little understanding of what else I should upgrade and what would be best for the price.

I mainly use my PC for gaming. I mostly Play WoW with a little Call of Duty 4/Black Ops 2 here and there and would like to have something that could comfortably run BF4 and CoD Ghosts (which according to minimum specs released would require 6GB RAM).

I did take a look at the sticky at the top of the thread and whilst I did learn a bit of product knowledge I am still none the wiser as to what I should actually upgrade my rig with.

Specs that I have now:

- ATI Radeon HD 5570 1024MB
- AMD Athlon II X4 Quad Core 640 3.00GHZ
- Corsair XMS3 4GB Ram (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 MHz Dual Channel Kit
- ASUS M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
- Corsair CX 600W ATX Power Supply

I would really appreciate any help, I can perhaps stretch the budget a little further if it would make a significant difference but would prefer if it was at £500 or less.

If I need to give any more information please let me know and I would be happy to do so.

Thanks a lot.

Hi guys,

Thank you for the quick responses.

In answer to your question I do already use an aftermarket cooler (I presume we're talking CPU cooler) though what it is I don't know, I would have to open it up on the morrow if it matters.

The machine I am upgrading is actually a pre-built computer from Overclockers from the Gaming PC's section and it was called 'Titan Krypt'. This was back in December 2010 and cost me just shy of £600.

Idleman's build looks like the best one for your cash.
If you overclock the difference between the 8320 and the 8350 is practically non-existent.
