having a few problems with my new comp

spec

e6850 (stock)
asus striker extreme
x1900xt (stock)
hiper 580 psu
2gb ballistix 6400
wd raptor 74
few fans etc

few probs really
1st one stick of ram seems to be dead and i get the bsod now and a gain and when i try and play a game but i also get a nasty sound from the psu like screaching then it bsods

2nd prob

screaching from the psu when i restart comp stays on constantly then and some times wont get past windows load up screen

any help would be great also is this psu powerfull enough 4 my system?

That PSU should be fine. The screeching sound tells me that it's probably broken! :/

but why would it go all of a suddon all ive changed is mobo ram n cpu

probably just unlucky, those psu have a great reputation for dying...how long you had it for?

the psu is powerful enough btw...i would recommend corsair if you find it is broken and need replacement

it also makes a different pitch when scrolling up n down screen etc and loading up programs id like 2 get one this weekend are the JEANTECH - 600W *ARCTIC* ATX POWER SUPPLY UNIT

well updated the bios now both memory sticks work and no more bsod but still have noise from psu so im gunna get a new 1

got myself an antec quattro and all problems sorted very nice psu aswell with loads of conections etc
