HELP ME

have corrupted windows on my hard drive, so it wont boot at all. But i have loaded onto another HD and can still get access to all my files

whats the best way of repairing a windows intall, i have tryed to do it automatically but it isnt working...in fact the destroyed drive isnt even seen as a boot option in bios!!
can i just copy the files i want over to the new drive then reformat the old one!!
help me i have had a bad day.

Yeah, unless there is something wrong with the hd itself, just copy the files you want to keep and reformat it.

the files copied fine onto my other HD, and i have reloaded vista on to my main drive but it is very very slow....what program can i use to check it!!

got to say Samsung were great had a new drive in 3 days, great service was expecting the worst as i bought the original drive from an ebay dealer
