So i have just got my new PC from overclockers with a 250gb SSD and a 1TB hard drive, but when i go to power on the system the hard drive beeps and then doesnt load anything. Ive looked in the bios and it doesnt seem to be picking up the hard drive at all. Ive unpluged the hard drive since and have loaded the system on just the SSD and everything is working fine. Could this mean that the hard drive is fault?
Please help.

once its booted do you see the hard drive in disk management at all or have you left it disconnected?

normally it should boot from the SSD and the HDD would be for storage

ok, so with the HDD connected windows doesn't boot at all?

when the HDD is connected check the boot options in the bios and make sure its not trying to boot from the HDD instead of the SSD.

if this is the case change the SSD as the first boot device and hopefully it should boot

I would give OCUK a ring, they may ask you to send it back and they can send you a replacement.

if its not being seen at all in the bios it does sound like a dead drive
