I had on my hard disk around 6gb free then on night when i was asleep the pc overheated and reset, i logged in to find i only had 650mb free. I then deleted somemore stuff to get 3gb free, i then reset my pc and it said i had 0.99gb free :confused: :confused: .

I tried the usually windows clean up, system restore but nothing. One thing i did notice is whenevery i use a defraging proggy there 7% of my disk thats very fragmented and all defragment proggys skip that part.

Anyone know of a really good hard disk analyzer program that can sort out any hard disk errors ive got, or any ither solutions?

To prevent more errors occuring on the HDD - Redcuce your clocks or increase your cooling.
PC shutting off whilst writing to HDD isn't good.

I know O&O Defrag is a good defragmenter...
If you have errors with your current file system though, it may be better to copy accross all the data you want to kep to another drive/partition and re-install Windows.

Start -> Run -> CMD
Then run:
chkdsk c: /f

And reboot.
That will check your drive for errors.
If re-installing windows, don't go for the Quick-Format but go for the full format.
