Hey I need help iv just flashed my msi p67a-gd55 from version 1.19 to version 4.3 and now when I try boot it goes to the msi logo then restarts I can't get into the bios at all. I have no idea what to do now. I flashed using a USB pen. Everything looked to be going fine it flashed rebooted now I have these problems can somebody help me please

Thanks

nope I cant get into the bios at all, the bios logo comes up msi, then I press del then it says entering then goes to no signal and restarts, tried having both gpus out clearing cmos etc and everything.

now im trying this guide http://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/TechFAQdetail.aspx?formid=3046

iv got my old bios on usb pen, and now when it trys booting from it it says file not found or something :/

Have you tried a clear CMOS?

I.e remove the battery and come back a bit later and refit and try.

yep iv tried everything, the newest bios version for this board which is the one I was trying to update to, apparently its only compatable with the b3 revision boards, mine was a old b2. iv read up theres been quite a lot of people have this problem, the people with the p67a-gd55 like me who have a b2 and try to update, they have had it because its not got a dual bios, the gd65 etc upwards do have a dual bios so they can switch back to the other one. there are quite a few complaints that it doesn't state that it doesn't work with the b2 and peoples motherboards being borked because of this.

ah well nee bother iv ordered my self a z77a-gd65. had enough of that old motherboard anyway was nothing but a pain. overclocking etc was fantastic and flawless but because it was a old b2 board the sata ports stopped working etc, so it can go and sit in the naughty cupboard now with all the other broken parts lol.

do the bios chips pull out on msi? not sure without googling

if they do you can pull the bios chip out and order another pre flashed with whatever bios you want on it off well known auction site

plug it in and away you go

Nope they are soldered onto this board. It went borked because it's a old b2 revision the version that got re-called but iv got a z77 one on the way so it's all good :)

Oh also, when I plug all my new hardware into my new board, will I still be able to boot to windows? My new board is a msi board so I doubt any old drivers will stop it from booting into my installation of windows or will it?
