Hi Guys
Have totally b*****ed my computer over the weekend while trying to format a SATA drive for a mate... To cut a long story short after installing his drive for some reason my OS on the raptor would not boot any more. No RAID etc.

Have reinstalled windows xp pro SP2 on his SATA drive and am now trying to get windows to recognise my 1) Raptor 2) IDE storage MAxtor drive so I can rescue some of the data. The drives are recognised in device manager but not in my computer so cannot access to transfer the data.

Any ideas how I can access them? All XP updates are applied and the SATA controller is working ok. Do I need to convert them to Dynamic discs?

Cheers

Thanks. Found the data on currupted drive now with drive recovery software but wants a credit card number and a large deposit for the recovery. Anyone know a free good recovery tool?

Thanks! I forked out in the end forn Stellar NTFS and have revovered the files but they seem to be currupted. So.... next issue is working out if they can be recovered at all. Anywone know if it makes any difference recovering from a compressed drive to a non compressed drive?
