Help my computer takes 4-5 mins to start up

Isn't that a tad stupid considering there is a lot of stuff from Microsoft on there and some people might not recognise that it's from microsoft? I mean if i deleted all the stuff i don't recognise then my PC probably wouldn't work at all.

windows updates are hidden by default, and when not hidden they give a description of what they're used for

a bit of common sense will help here, the fact that he's realises there's a lot on startup is one thing, so i'm sure he can choose what should go or not.
