Okay, I have the pc thats specced in my sig...

Ive overclocked it slightly.. stock volts.. 400mhz fsb.. 800mhz ram to 1000mhz ram

I recently rebooted it from linux and I got a blank screen.. no post or nothing...

Ive tried turning power off from mains, taking battery out and switching bios jumper over, taking all my pci cards out....

Im really scared something has died and I really cant afford to spend money on computers right now...

Send some ideas please! also I get no beeping from PC speaker and the hard drive light goes on for a while and goes off again once.

If I was a betting man....;) Try another power supply 450-500Watt if possible, no beeping at post can be a good thing, if it did it will indicate a hardware failure, if you are not getting any beeps I don't think its any of your motherboard components... (Fingers crossed M8) thats why all fingers are pointing at the power supply.

Okay I will try that... will he hard to persuade someone to take out their psu for me tho :-)

If anyone else has more ideas feel free to say them here.. im gonna go bed for now :-)

Have you tried clearing CMOS? Always the place to start if something wont post (mainly cos I'm lazy and you can do that before swapping in new components!)

PK!

I did not update my bios recently and I will try clearing it again (I did it once!)

Edit: I removed 2/4 sticks of ram and it boots yay! I had 2Gb of ram (4x512)
Edit2: I will continue to fiddle and adust and update here.

try increasing the voltage on the memory to 1.9 or 2.0, it might be that the memory only POST's with 2 sticks because its not getting enough volts.

DUDE! Your a lifesaver! I thought the ram had died on me and I had to send it back to OCUK!

POSTs fine now with 2GB.. I guess I got to make sure it always gets 2V.. Is this becuase its overclockers memory and it needs more V?
