HELP! My first build

Hi so all my parts were delivered today! Thanking you. Even threw in some Haribo for me

I'm stuck with the ATX Cable!

24 pin but 4 pins are separated, I can't plug in the 4 pin next to the 20 pin as some little plastic catches stop it from being plugged in all the way.

Is this normal or have I done something wrong?

Probably just need to install drivers but i've never seen it like that before, get it sorted?

Not connected to the Internet yet to install drivers. My USB Dongle isn't working some reason :/ hmmmmm

Get them from another PC and pop it on a memory stick? and they usually come with the GFX card

Maybe, but they are usually tested and working otherwise they wouldn't sell them, without installing drivers and playing a few games and stuff you wouldn't know. You get 90 day returns though

You will need the USB drivers as well, that is why it's not working.
The Mobo should have come with a drivers disc to get started if you dont have internet.
Update them when you have a connection.

I'm going to wire it up to Ethernet tomorrow night and sort out all the drivers. I don't have an optical drive

So I plugged in my Ethernet and reset my router but the PC is not picking up the connection?

Any hints or tips guys to get this working so I can update the drivers?

You need to install the Ethernet driver for your internet to work. Either buy/borrow a dvd drive, or use someone elses pc with internet access and download it from the motherboard website onto a usb stick.

If necessary, post your exact motherboard make & model.
We can then go to the manufacturer site and download the network driver.
Can then PM you using the Trust system and then e-mail you that specific driver. Am happy to do that tonight if you need it, ok ?

Good idea but if he has no internet how will he get the emailed files?

You could even download into a phone/tablet and plug that into the PC and get the files off.
