Help my hdd not recognised!

hi,
I have everything connected correctly but the bits is not recognising my Samsung f1 1tb hdd. I can't even hear it spinning anymore. Any advice on what to do next and it's 5 days over it's warranty :-(

Recheck you've got both power and data connections seated correctly at both ends. Put your hand on the drive while the PC is on - can you feel it spinning?

Does it show up in the BIOS? Also try another sata cable and another sata port. Have you tried it in another PC?

done all the above with no luck, and it's not even spinning

Try plugging in the SATA power without any data cable, will at least give some insight as to if its a hdd controller issue.
