Help my pc has died!

Hello there, basically my pc is not turning on anymore. It started doing this thing where you would need to press the on button a bunch on times to turn it on, then once my graphics card would light up showing it’s on. Then it would turn it’s self off and keep turning off and on until it made a bleep, which it would then boot up like normal.
I’ve come home today and now the pc won’t turn on at all? This pc is fully custom and I’ve had it for 6 years maybe longer.

I was thinking it could be the power supply, but I’m not 100 percent, I’m not clued up enough. So if anyone has any ideas of what it could be, or what could have died please help! Cheers, Jake.

Power supply sounds likely. Could be the motherboard, or other components, do you have another PC to test?
Otherwise maybe just unplug things you don't need and see what happens.

Okay that’s what I was thinking. Currently I’m running a be quiet 600w PSU, what’s a good alternative. Was thinking of getting a 650w now as I’ve been running a msi Radeon r9 390 for a while. Any ideas on a good PSU? Thanks

State a budget and we'll be happy to offer suggestions.

Plenty of good power supplies available, but your budget will dictate appropriate suggestions.

Grab something gold, aim around £100 if you're happy to(or less if there is something special on offer) and you'll probably be happy with almost any choice. Choose a brand and PSU that ticks the boxes for you, there's no single right choice.

Sounds like 5V standby and likely also something else on its way out of job.
Needing to press power button multiple times (number increasing over time) to get any sign of life out of PC is typical symptom of bad 5Vsb.

BeQuiet has had quite many PSUs with cheap capacitors, which is major factor in how fast PSU reaches that designed failure state.
(use of cheap capacitors is designing it to fail)

Fully modular Seasonic Focus Plus 550W is £80

And 650W £90

That budget would even give little bit higher 80+ Platinum efficiency PSU...

With non-reference R9 390 cards capable to easily over 300W max consumption 650W is PSU justified.

The CS650M is within your price range.
Corsair sticker on top doesn't make those second tier Teapos high quality capacitors...
Not to mention couple total random quality Elites thrown in for the fun, because Teapos weren't cheap enough.

And Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro which is rebranded Seasonic Focus Plus with semi-modular cabling is even cheaper:
