Help needed 7820hk or 7700hq

Hi Guys still undecided on what I should buy. ( looking at pc specialist, has anyone dealt with them before, are they good? )


I am looking for a laptop that is going to last me 3/4 years.


Currently I am looking for one that is going to max games and keep above 60fps.


The spec I am considering is.


Intel i7 ( 7th gen ) 7820HK – 2.9 ( 3.9 turbo ) – overclocking enabled 4.4ghz max

32GB RAM

GTX 1070 – 8GB DEDICATED

500GB SAMSUNG SSD


There is quite a significant different between i7 7820hk and i7 7700hq – is there a big difference in performance.


I guess if I want the laptop to stand up longer term I should invest the extra cash and go for the 7820?


I was considering a desktop as they are easy to upgrade however I want to go down the custom build laptop route.


I like the portability, plus the laptop I am specing is only 15”6 and relatively light with an SSD.


Any thoughts/advice would be welcome.

I don't think you'll notice much diff in gaming - just get the one that's best value IMO.

Worth checking what screen resolution as this will impact the longevity of the gfx card, with a desktop your CPU etc normally lasts a good few graphics upgrades without issue.
