Help needed - College network access

I've plugged in the network adapter from the Mac into my PC and it says 'Limited or no connectivity'

How can i access the college system on my laptop, do i need to install some network drivers?

Tutor doesn't know how to do it so :/

People connect laptops up to the network all over the show so i guess i just need to get the authentication
