RJC's spec is better.

The CX range are poor and use worse quality internals.

Faster RAM to help efficiency.

A fast SSD such as that Samsung will make everything happen quicker from programs loading to the PC booting up, install your OS and applications on it and use the HDD as storage.

the more important thing is 16Gb over 8Gb because it is possible to use more for workstation requirements IF you are doing *serious* stuff

but becasue you've opted for basic GFX then i can assume youre not doing massive stuff

you can get 2400mhz 8Gb Ram for the same price as 1600

Just done some minor changes, better PSU, I always tended to use Gigabyte for my motherboards.

Case can be changed to something more personal but I just don't think the Antec is worth it for £50.

the speed of the ram is the clock and also can be linked to the channels, dual channel can be quicker than single channel due to higher bandwidth but still only to max 10% difference - more like 2-5%

Im not sure you know what you are talking about.

Bigger RAM stops virtual RAM from being accessed, because virtual RAM is SSD space or HDD space its slower.

Fast RAM makes a PC more efficient. Whether its 8GB or 16GB.

8gb 2400mhz is faster than 16gb at 1600mhz for example

you need to say what programs you are going to render on and how much ram you use regarding the ram * size *

also you need to say your budget because for example you could get the intel 4930k - 6 core/12 thread

The actual opening of programs wont, but with a 8GB kit you will fill it quicker when you have pictures open and textures and models and video clips in timelines etc etc, a fast 16GB (2133/2400) is perfect.

So you have the room and the speed.

8GB is what gamers use, 16+GB is what people doing what you do use

The faster RAM will come in to play when the CPU is working hard during rendering etc.

Dont take advice from Svyper1, his suggestions and specs are poor and erratic.

no there is no difference if you don't use mroe than 8gb ram

don't listen to the above guy you need to fill 8Gb of Ram and that is a lot of space you have to see how much you use and buy the relevant size

if you do need more than 8gb then get more but if you don't use 8gb don't get the 16 gb
