Hi everybody

I have a maximum of £1300 to build an
all purpose gaming/multimedia desktop pc
which will be used for the following applications.

Internet exploring/surfing
Medium/heavy gaming
Watching videos online
downloading videos
burning downloaded videos to dvd
playing dvd and cd's
video editing (light)
Word processing
And other related tasks

Now i dont know to much about the hardware
in pc's and i know even less about building
my own as ive never done it before but i will
be ordering it from ************.co.uk
as they are cheap and very reliable.

Below i have listed some of the specifications
of my first attempt and i would be incredibly
grateful if everybody could look at it for me
and tell me if this is a good system to play
past, present and future pc games on aswell
as all of my video and internet requirements.

The following build is about £1250

CPU: Intel core 2 duo E6700 (2 X 2.66GHz)
RAM: 2048MB Corsair XMS2 800MHz (2x1GB)
Harddrive: 400gb serial ATA (7200rpm)
Graphics: 640MB Nvidia geforce 8800GTS
Display: 22" widescreen TFT 1680x1050
OS: Windows vista premium
1st cd/dvd drive: 16x DVD ROM
with 48x CD ROM
2nd cd/dvd drive: 20x DVD+RW/RAM/
dual layer + lightscribe (48x CD-RW)
Speakers:creative inspire 2.1 T3100 system
2M DVI cable
TV card
Wireless network card
2 year warranty

If there is any part of this build you think
is unsatisfactoy and could use improving
any advice or tips you could give me would
really be appreciated.

Thankyou

Sorry

Case: Stylish silver/black trident case + 2 front USB
PSU: 500W (peak) Quiet Dual Rail PSU + 120mm case fan

(I posted the wrong motherboard specs this is the correct motherboard)
Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-E SLI Quad-core CPU ready, Nvidia dual x16 SLI

I don't like the sound of the 500 (peak) PSU, that probably means it will run at significantly less than 500W. Also, the case might be an issue, airflow could be a problem. I'd build your own with that kind of budget.
