Hey guys. Need your help. My imperfect but beloved LG 29" Ultrawide might be finally dying...

DVI to my PC, or HDMI to my macbook, I get the same glitches and artefacts.
Has it finally had it? :(

Pics here, taken with phone of course. There's also a Youtube video of the glitching in real time.

Please can anyone help??

Thanks for your time guys...

UPDATE

weirdest thing ever

Lost my patience, stripped the back panel off, removed all the ribbon cables and cleaned the contacts. Blew the dust out etc. Nothing much there

Tested while disassembled, still broken.

Reassembled, still broken.

Left on, took a shower.

Came back, monitor fixed.

F%ck knows what it was but I (inadvertently) fixed it.

Is yours still working?

I'm getting similar issues, definitely a monitor problem as it does it on the menus with no display connections. It started as mild artifacts but gets worse until the whole screen is a garbled mess.

Tried reconnecting everything, turned power off overnight to see if that would reset and nothing. However I did discover that tapping on the back of the monitor fixes it for a day or two until the issue comes back. My guess is a loose connection inside but mine has never been mistreated, it's just sat on the desk for its whole life.

Not impressed by LG build quality, only bought it from here 3 years ago which is no life at all for a monitor.
