Help needed needed please, i am a snapped man!

Earlier this evening i flashed my new 6950 and it went pear shaped, i eventually manged to fix it after an hour or two of messing around.
However after restarting couple of times i lost all sound.
My headphones or speakers will not work!I have tried reinstalling drivers ect and troubleshooting but win 7 keeps telling me they are unplugged even tho they are not.

Can anybody help me out please i am going insane!

specs are as follows:

I7950
hd 6950
asus sabertooth mobo
40gb ssd (intel)
1tb hdd
using logitech speaker
x11 turtlebeaches

Could this be static damage from me taking out and putting in 6950 which i did a couple of times, i like to think that i was grounded well ect but right now i cant rule anything out!

Do you use a sepaerate soundcard, or are you using the on-board ones?

Any issues showing in the Device Manager ?

Re-install of Win7 perhaps?

On board mate, am i prob better buying one?
No issues with dev manager.
Just reinstalled windows and drivers ect but no luck.
Going to connect my hdmi cable which i left at my brothers house to tv - pc do u think my tv will play the sound?

Just have a quick check in the Bios, to make sure the onboard is enabled. You should get sound from the TV, especially connecting via an HDMI cable.

Yea i checked and it was enabled, guess i can only try the hdmi option then or buy a sound card.

Hdmi does play sound thank god!

Glad to hear that buddy.

I would see if a mate has a spare soundcard you can try in your machine, before purchasing a new one.

Yea i think my parent have one lying around in there house might go over at the weekend.
Until then my tv will do fine.
