Hi i want to overclock my Cpu and ram, i have been looking into this for a while now. I will show you my spec then what ive managed to do.

2Ghz AMD X2 939 (Toledo), 2GB (2x1GB) of Ballistix Tracer's rated at max 250Mhz and a Sapphire Crossfire Board the top 939 board RD580.

I have had the pc now for 3 years and its still good on playing cod4+5 and Grid on full, but i want to give a small boost as the CPu is the slowest part.

Currently default setting's is Cpu 2000Mhz Ram 200Mhz and a HT@ 1000Mhz
I cant change the the CPU Multiplier it's locked at x10. My mulitiplier for HT is x5 and has options to change the speed.

The Ram has full configurations timing's and a speed select currently on 200Mhz Im not sure how to get the timing's correct for the speed.

Cpu only has speed select and voltage change

and the FSB has a few option's

my problem is the max i can set the CPU and ram is to 216x10 which leaves the FSB at it's max 1080Mhz i dont think i want to be going any higher. so i want to set it to 800Mhz then change the Cpu to say 2.4Ghz so the FSB will be like 960Mhz but i dont know how to set the correct Ram Speed's (timings) i was wandering if anyone could help me on this.
the current setting's are

200Mhz, FSB:DRAM CPU/10
CL = 3.0
tRCD = 3
tRP = 3
tRAS = 8
tRC = 11
CR = 2T
Dram idle Timer 16clocks

Set the HT to x4 to drop the bus speed to 800mhz (and thus 960mhz @ 2.4ghz).

As for memory timings, the first 4 listed in CPU-Z as currently 3-3-3-8 are labeled in your BIOS as -

CL = CAS# Lacency
tRCD = RAS to CAS Delay
tRP = Row precharge Time
tRAS = Min RAS Active Time.

You should probably also set the command rate to 1T (listed in CPU-Z as CR and in your BIOS as 1T/2T Memory timings).

The memory is specced as being able to run at 2.5-4-4-8 @ 250mhz, so i would set them to 3-4-4-8 until you've finished clocking the CPU, and then try tightening them to atleast the specced 2.5-4-4-8.

Epic Fail

Ok This is the setting i used;

Memclock index Value: 250Mhz
CAS# latency 3
Min RAS# active time (Tras) 8T
RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd) 4T
Row precharge time (Trp) 4T
1T/2T Memory timing 1T

CPU 240Mhz
LTD Bus Frequency set to 800Mhz

Result: Bios Froze when i clicked on save, hit restart and it just loaded the frozen bios again. I had to remove Battery and clear settings. The Ram Lights did not light up so im taking it was a ram error.

Have you set the correct memory voltage? Not to mention that your CPU may need a touch more voltage for 2.4ghz.

Probably best setting the Memclock Index Value to 200mhz as that should be 1:1.

Nothing is working :( It just freezes everytime. the ram has only set value's on Memclock 250Mhz and then it goes down to 233Mhz and bellow. I wouldnt be ablle to get 240, thats if it has to be the same as the cpu??? it just ent happening. I hate this sapphire Motherboard nothing ever works on it :(

I put the cpu at 2500Mhz and the HT is now running at 1000Mhz and the ram is at 250Mhz temperature hasnt changed at all 33c. Do you think this is max or can i adjust the setting again making sure the ram doesn't exceed 250Mhz and the HT of 1000Mhz

I had to step the voltage up from 1.25v to 1.30 volts so this would work. do you think the cpu could go higher as the temps havnt changed

HT can be set anywhere between 900mhz and 1100mhz.

What are your load temps at 2.5ghz? Use OCCT or Prime95 to stress the CPU.

My temps are 33c @2.5Ghz The HT is now running at 1000Mhz and my ram at 500Mhz i was using CoreTemp and Everest to stress the cpu and the temps went up to 45c but i have a ram startup issue atm which i have posted in this section go check that out, i need help with that issue it wont boot till i hit the restart i think maybe voltage?
