thanks for the reply.

im going to youtube the hiper now, thanks for reminding me to look there.
i did see a thread on it here, where the hipers was lethal.

its a shame, i did like it.

not sure if it has warrenty on it?
do you know if it has more than 1 year?

hopefully the psu will be ok, the new one, comes tomorrow.
im set back £100 now, was going to get xbox 360.

i still want it, we see if i can get some money together for it.
i shall report back tomorrow hopefully, and be typing on my pc ;)

Good luck with ya 360, Mine is at MS now being fixed, for the second time! I would personally wait til the Elite model 360 comes out, I know they still do red ring, but not as much as the current models!

Yes, keep us updated on whether the new PSU gets you back on!

The Hipers have a 3 year warranty on them so RMA it (should be fairly quick with all the practice they have had) and then stick the new replacement on the bay to recoup some of your money. The Corsair is vastly superior to the Hiper.

yea i will contact hiper regarding a replacement,

well... so far for overclockers and the "city links next day delievery"
this is happening more and more now with city link and my house...

they DO not deliever now on time, and next day.

waited the whole day at home. no attempt was made. no ohone call...

they are slacking. they use to be very very good for me, when dealing with a certain auction site. but now... lately they have been very poor.

one driver didnt even bother stopping at my house. cause he said it was a busy road. and he just do it the next day. (poor excuse)

i sent a email to city link. hopefully they get back to me.
but it wont be delievered now till 2moro... and im not here!

luckly i have family still here, so they can sign for it.
i needed to fix the PSU though asap. :(

ok... 3 days later...

i finally got the new PSU.
its taken me awhile put i have it all back together and working.... :/

though... couple of things?

my graphics card is constant spinning at high rev's!!! doesnt slow down after i switch pc on, and there is no signal coming into the monitor... so i cant even see my bios.. :(

2nd my XFI Fata1ity has a red light on the sound card.. not sure if that means if wants power or just for effect, but it is connected to the psu.

not sure why the graphics card is running at full speed? any help please?

Howdy.

I presume you have connected power to the graphics card? :) Sorry but we have to ask, as people do that occasionally.

Do you get anything else from the system? Do the other fans ramp down? Do you hear post beeps? It might be worth you to reseat your cpu, as it may be that. But im not for certain untill you clarify the above.

The X-fi I believe has a Red light under a lil X-fi box on the back of the card or something?

If thats the case i believe the light is just for display...But it might be worth someone else clarifying that.

yea, the power cable was connected to the graphics card.

it powers up but as full speed! and all other fans work fine. normal speeds.
but there is no display on screen, it just goes into sleep mode,

there is a connection, but it doesnt see a picture.. :(

i dont really want to mess with the cpu, as there is nothing wrong with that.

i only just replaced the PSU, and now the graphics card is having problems...
or maybe its the psu again?

It's possible but the likelihood of getting another duff one is rather low.

I only said about the cpu as sometimes when fans state at constant rpm (ie every fan) it can be due to the cpu being seated incorrectly.

Have you tried re-seating the grapihcs card also? Sounds dumb but it works sometimes. Another thing you can try is try the card in the other pci-e slot. Just to rule out the problem.

One more suggestion, just double check the sli-bridge card (i think its called that) Is seated the correct way, for single card function. Rather than sli.

yep that hasnt been changed, the sli or anything like that.

the graphics card i have pulled out and in like 5 times, made sure all connections firm, even changed the PCI lead.

i still cant find why there is no signal to the monitor as in a picture... and why the graphics card doesnt spin down after a few seconds on boot...

its very wierd :/
