help needed please, Hard drive dying ?

OK I have a seagate 2TB HDD...got it B Grade months ago( got 2 of them )......and I have loads and loads of video files on it....but the drive isnt showing up in windows ,re-booted the pc and it was then showing...went to play a film file from the drive but it wouldnt play and the PC was making a " dull " beeping sound every couple of seconds , re-booted again...and the beeping sound was there as the pc was starting up , but again windows isnt showing the HDD, is the hard drive dying ?

Well, it doesn't sound very good... unless the data is entirely dispensible, why on earth would you entrust it to a B-grade drive without a backup?

Have you tried swapping things around - different SATA cable, different motherboard port, maybe a different PC entirely if you have one?

I know Captain I should have known better , Although this morning I did go to properties / Tools...and did an error check ...and it said there were corrupt files , so it did a scan to fix....( I did it twice)..and now its saying no problems , but im thinking if the drive is going just to get a new HDD and dump the one i have ?

Think maybe I'll just get two of these
