Greetings

First off sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section.

I have a question to ask that i hope you can help me with, I have searched google for an answer but cannot find one.

I am going to be building a new pc soon and i have an issuse with space.

My question is will the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler and Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 8GB (2x4GB) fit on a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Intel Z68 Socket 1155 Motherboard?

With the double hight of the Vengeance ram and the cooling fan on the cooler having to face the ram will they both fit i am unsure of the clearence?.

Thanks for you time.

They should do yes.

However, the Corsair Vengeance RAM does not run any faster than the low profile stuff like XMS3. The heatspreaders used on them, in some cases, increase heat on the RAM because they restrict air flow.

it would definitely be worth posting what you want to do with your computer, your budget for the computer, and exactly what parts you need. then people can recommend you the perfect computer for your budget

Lol how did i miss the CPU

Intel Core i5 2400, S1155, Sandy Bridge, Quad Core, 3.1GHz, GPU 850 Mhz, 6MB Cache, 95W

you cant overclock with that processor. you need an i5 2500k for that. it'll add at least £10 to your total.

also, the gigabyte motherboard has a few problems:
- it is mATX, so going SLI will mean the top graphics card's fans will be wedged right on top of the bottom ones
- it doesnt have lucid virtu, which is a fantastic power saving feature that turns the GPU off completely if you are not doing anything graphically intensive (like web browsing)
- it is also missing another of the Z68 chipsets features but i cant for the life of me remember its name

*edit*
looks like OcUK has very similar prices to this competitor. what is the cost of the PSU (OcUK doesnt stock it right now)

dont say what the competitor is, because thats against forum rules (although if i ** No Competitor Hinting ** )

*edit*
noted, but im kinda confused as this has been going on for a long time without any problems.
