Purchased a 5800x3d and now I have no display.
Currently upgraded from a 5600 to the 5800x3d with gigabyte x570s 32gn 3600 Corsair pro ram and a 4070.

New CPU yesterday arrived. Started by updating the bios to f6b then undone the MSI mag 360 cooler and installed the CPU. Cleaned the CPU cooler and fitted it with mx4 paste then booted up the pc

Couple of mins went by and nothing so I unplugged the power cable, removed the CMOS battery and used the clr CMOS jumper to reset the bios.

Switched back on and was greeted with the new CPU Installed select y to continue. Then came the gigabyte splash screen press f12 for boot menu etc then it went black again and now no matter how many times I try I don't get a display ( monitors are receiving a signal I believe as they don't go into sleep mode )

Stuck where to go next. Any suggestions.

Should have noted I have no bios led lights on my board but I have unplugged all the usbs etc

Have you tried putting the 5600 back in and making sure the current configuration is posting fine back with that?

When you say:

Do you mean your motherboard has no led's at all, or they were lighting up but they no longer come on?
Do you get any fans spinning up?
Any beeps to troubleshoot with?
Monitor source is still set to correct output right?

LEDs as in debug lights.
Pc fires to life as normal, monitors are receiving a signal as in they don't go into sleep mode and turn on when I switch the pc on.

GPU works fine on both my son's pc but neither of theirs give a display.

I know I'm in windows as I can hear the sounds coming from the speakers

What outputs do you have on your gfx card? can you try all of the hdmi, display port, dvi ports? tried different cables? different ports on your monitor? different monitor altogether?

Yeah I also tried hdmi as I had seen others with similair boards having no output while using dp and had to swap in an HDMI for picture then swap the DP back in

You didn't perhaps set up remote desktop previously and have another computer to try RDP on to it?

I've no idea how to do that.

Literally the pc was only used for iracing. Once the cpu was delivered I powered off the pc as usual and changed them over. Didn't touch anything at all bar removing the AiO and the cpu

What motherboard and GFX card do you have?
Is it ATX? do you have another PCI-E port you can try the GFX card in?

How long have you left the CMOS battery out for? have you tried for like 20 minutes?
Have you tried connecting a different monitor altogether such your sons or a TV?
Tried your sons GFX card?
Not sure what lengths you want to go to, but I'd be putting the 5600 back in and trying to flash to the old bios.
Dismantling and building it all out of the case on the motherboard box etc.
Different PSU etc.

We have tried everything you listed above to try and get a display

Well you’ve confirmed the gpu and cpus are working by trying them in your sons pc. You’ve tried known working parts in your pc with the same no display outcome. Seems to me the motherboard has popped it’s clogs or the bios update failed. Does your mobo have a dual bios? Does it allows usb flashback?
