Help Needed!! Strange image anomalies

something has gone horribly mad!!

Everything on screen seems to have a shadow type thing. Everything seems to be streaked across the screen, but only in a dull way, not stretched. This is hard to explain!!

It shows up on a screen shot so does this mean it's the computer rather than the monitor?

any help much appreciated.

If a screen shot shows the problem, then yeah, it sounds PC rather than monitor related. Unless of course you're viewing that screen shot on the monitor that you think is problematic?

You tried latest drivers etc and ensuring everything is seated correctly?

It is the computer, have tried it on another monitor and it has the same issues!!

It isn't a new computer or monitor, it has been the same monitor for about 6 months and there has not been any problems before?

Does it sound terminal?? (Would force the parents to buy a new comp then!!)

It sounds like dodgy memory on the video card. Can you borrow a different video card and see if that makes any difference?
