hey folks had problems with my bb since i moved into my house back in august have called bt about this issue several times. basically my guaranteed speed is 4 meg. it often syncs at this speed but i'm receiving a throughput of 0.1 meg most days and constant drop outs think in one day i suffered from 750 drop outs. Bt have fixed an issue on the line a couple of times now but this hasnt resolved anything. they've even sent out an engineer (admitedly a ptsn engineer instead of a broadband engineer for which i've been charged) the engineer found no fault with the internal wiring in my premises. Is it worth one more try to get this resolved or could i end the contract due to a breach of terms by bt as they are supplying me with a service not fit for use?

If the fault is line related it may remain even if you manage to jump ship. Getting this kind of error fixed can be even harder once you get into LLU connections.

I'd escalate it with BT and as a first step demand a refund on the call out charge. If they sent an engineer and did find problems with your wiring that were causing the issue then fair enough. But if they came out and found nothing and the problem remains you shouldn't be paying them anything.

Contacts for BT fault escalations have been mentioned in the forum in the past. Hopefully someone in the know will come along and provide the necessary details.

It's also probably worth kicking up a fuss on BT's own support forums.
