I have built a new pc for a mate but am having problems with it. Everytime i power it on the the system is starting but i am not getting anything displayed on the monitor, none of the usb ports and ps2 port seem to be working either as i have a usb illuminated keyboard which lights up for a second then goes out, and the ps2 keyboard isn't working either. There have been no beeps or noises from the system.

The reset button, power button, cpu fan and case fans are all working.

Has anyone any ideas?? i have checked all the connections and they are all connected okay. Is it a faulty graphics card or mobo??

Motherboard - Asus P5K Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
Graphics Card - Sapphire X1650 XT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI
RAM - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB)
Hard Drive - Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 NCQ 400GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
CPU Cooler - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
Case - Antec Titan 650 Tower Case - 650w TruePower PSU

Hopefully somebody can help.

Thanks

Dave

do you know whaty version of te bios came with that board ?? looks it uit needs version 0603 or highr for 1333 chips support.

have you plugged in the extra power conenctors to the mobo ? there should be another one aswell as the main 24pin one

Thanks for your reply, i will check out the version tomorrow, when i go round to my mates house, i have a feeling it will need to be flashed, but would this stop it from displaying nothing on the monitor?? i built one a few weeks ago and it needed to be flashed but i was able to see the bios on the monitor to flash it.

Yes, i have connected the other 4 pin connector into the motherboard and the motherboard led light is on and the computer boots up, just nothing being displayed on the monitor and no sign of life with a ps2 keyboard or a usb keyboard.
