I am after a new AM2 mATX motherboard. It must be Matx and preferably have onboard graphics as i don't have a graphics card at the mo. Any ideas please? Budget is not important. Thanks

Scrub last question. Don't fancy the AN-M2HD now after reading some reviews about it. Apparently the reviewer said it crashed after intensive gaming tests (On-Board Graphics) it doesn't have DVI. I think i will go for the ASUS M2NPV-VM instead.

What do you guys think?

Actually it does have DVI via a bundled HDMI>DVI cable.
If you don't need the HDMI port or firewire then save the £10 & buy the standard AN-M2.

I've not had any problems with mine but admittedly I don't use it for gaming.
I don't remember that in any review that I've seen though - link?

The M2NPV-VM uses the older 6150 IGP chipset.

RTHDRIBL isn't a game it's a "Real-time High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting" demo & it took 20 minutes to crash according to that review. It's unlikely that you would ever stress the board like that under normal use.
Certainly nVidia combining the nb & sb into 1 chip package on 7xxx is going to create more heat than on 6xxx's separate ones.
Tbh no, you probably won't notice the difference between 6xxx & 7xxx but you will even with a cheap discrete gfx card as integrated solutions still aren't wonderful.

No, I don't use DVI or HDMI as I don't have a monitor with necessary connections yet.
Boards fine but I have somewhat more powerful systems for gaming ;) the board itself will be fine but you really want a gfx card for anything taxing.

I've never used the Asus but I suspect that the abit has more BIOS options & probably overclocks better if those are concerns.
