Help needed with new ram

hi looking for some help and advise
I have just upgraded my ram to 32gb corsair dominator platinum 2400mhz 1.35v
I've installed the ram fine and the Pc boots fine also works fine no crashing during games no blue screens
But it fails to set to 2400mhz in bios and reverts back to 2133mhz
I have managed to get the system to boot at 2200mhz but no more
I don't imagine I'll see much of a difference between 2200 & 2400mhz but it would be nice to have it running at 2400mhz
My system specs are as follows

Alienware Area 51 r2 2015
Windows 10
I7 5820k
Gtx 1080ti x2 (sli)
2tb Samsung 850 evo ssd
2tb hdd
32gb corsair dominator platinum ram
1500w psu
Bois version A12

Haven't got a clue what to be looking to change in bios
Also how to check timings
Any help for either timings or getting 2400mhz to work would be greatly appreciated

have you increased Vccio and system agent voltage? try around 1.25 on both to see if it posts at least.

No I didn't try adjusting anything other than the MHz as I've never done it before and didn't want to mess with things I haven't got a clue about before seeking advice
I will look for the vccio and agent voltage and adjust as you mentioned and see if it boots thanks for you help really appreciate it cheers

put it this way, my system insta blue screens if i dont have at least 1.15v on both.
