HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to install vista onto my usb hdd and in doing so i created a 10gig partition in which i later installed vista onto it then lead onto an error message and in doing so i did a quick format, then deleted the partition (not knowing i cannot merge it then due to it not having a filing system) so i then created a new partition for the old....... and then i merged the partition with the old 1..... so i now have my 250 giggs back but i cant delete the file in which i moved (nothing) ova to the old partition and on top of that my laptop still wants to try and boot vista so what do i do (REFUSE TO REFORMAT) theres gotta be a way !!!!!

EDIT: well i went on a deleting spree that had anything that included boot in it.... and its worked boot manager has disapeard so w00t....but still can delete that file..... that i used to merge

i had a problem like that but i was able 2 install windows on a other hhd then with unlocker deleat the files of that partition the formated it

got and tried unlocker it rekons theres nothing wrong im gonna try with a different pc to delete it since it wont have the same programs or requests in place

also try rename the file eg. pic.jpg change it to pic.jpgythg change the extention basicaly then restat harddrive and try and format then
