Morning everyone,
I now have a major problem with viewing photos on Vista 64bit.I discovered it a few days back when I imported my pictures from my Nikon D40.

The problem only arises when I select to view a photo from my pictures folder (which displays correctly), it should open via the Photo Gallery in full but nothing happens.I searched high and low through Google with help, but no joy there.

Can anyone help?? :(

Thanks for your reply MrLOL.
It also refuse to open with what you mentioned.I tried everything I can think of but no joy.
I know that Windows own photo software isn't the best but I would like to use it for its simplicity.

What's happening is that the folder I created to store my personal Photos imported from my Nikon D40,the images shows correctly, but when I select one to view using Windows Photo Gallery, the gallery opens up but can't view that selected picture. All I get is a blue circle next to the mouse pointer which means its searching for that picture.

I can launch 'Pictures' from the Start menu, then it opens with all the folders where Pictures are stored, but just can't view them individually using Photo Gallery.

*Update*

I can see all the Pictures stored in small image format, but when I select one to view, the Windows Photo gallery opens but no picture.

try start >> run

and copy and paste this in

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll

it should re-install windows picture and fax viewer.
