Wondering if anyone can help??!!??

Was wondering if its possible for me to use an old laptop hdd in my xbox 360?

I have a couple of years old Seagate 160gb HDD, and was wondering if it is posible to replace the hdd that is in my 20gb official xbox hd?

I know that i may have to do some tinkering and reformat and add the 360 security protocols, but in theory..............will it work?

yes it will work, it would be no different than using any other PC hdd with it.

Not sure if linking to this kind of thing is allowed on here, but its just a case of googling it.

I don't think you will be able to fit it into the 360 or the existing hdd case, but it can still be wired up.

This is a project I intend on trying soon with a 1tb drive.

Its not that easy though, as the HDDs are all listed with the xbox are they not?

So takes some mucking about if IIRC.

It's not easy, but there are some good guides out there that are pretty easy to follow, but it can be done :)

Only guides I can find at work are for the 120gb upgrade, and I am sure I've seen one for larger.
