Guys

I want to upgrade my current system which is a Q8200 with a Asus P5e WS Pro with 8GB DDR2

Ive currently got in the system

NVIDIA Geforce 9500 PCI Express
120gb OCZ Agility 3 SSD ( Sata 6 )
150GB WDC Velocity Raptor ( Sata 3 )
2TB WDC WD20EARS( Sata 3 )
2TB WDC WD20EARX ( Sata 6 )

Sata Hitachi DVD Writer
Sata Pioneer DVD Writer

I been looking at the following

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail

Kingston HyperX Genesis 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit

Now the problem i cant decide on which motherboard to go for dont want to go over the top and buy the Asus P8Z77-V

Dont need SLI or Crossfire, going to stick with current graffix card until i can afford a better one

but this is features i would like

-Overclockable

-COM port ( not to worried about this as i can get a pci express card)

-At least 4 SATA6 connections (upgrade hdd in future)

Any comments or suggestion would be great

Thanks

The v pro is a better board as it has more voltage options for the CPU,good heatsink would be noctua d14,trouble is your memory would be too tall for those heatsinks,so something like Samsung green or vengeance lp memory would be needed

never looked at the samsung before but they are narrow, would you not need heatsinks on them if you are overclocking like the vengeance lp, small but anything can help

No they don't get hot at all,I'm running 8gb of them at 2133mhz on an asus z68 and using a noctua d14 cooler

would look at the D14 but its out of stock, want to do the purchase by next week, could use the stock fan but then i will have to pay double shipping as from the reviews it is quite heavy

you dont have to go with those, any low profile ram would do the trick and other cooler options are the phanteks and silver arrow, but beware as they are all huge,so makesure your case is wide enough for them to fit as it will prevent the side panel from being fitted

in the case at the moment i have an Artic Freezer Pro Rev.2 and still have approx 40 mm before it hits the side of the case
