help needed

hi everybody , in the process of sorting out a new pc for gaming and i cant decide what graphics card to get !
i know very little so any help would be great ! a friend has told me to get the 660 or 670 but nearly all the comments on the forums point me in the direction of the 9750
my budget is about £250ish for the card

The 7950 is faster than the 660, and delivers comparable performance to the 670 / 680, but is much cheaper.

I was thinking about upgrading, if I did I would go for a 7950. Although might be worth listing the games you want to play as some favour Nvidia or AMD

If the OP is playing a wide variety of games this favoured GPU is negated.

What would be more helpful would be what res your monitor is?

The 7950 is very good value
