Hi there currently I have psu from corsair ax760 and it made noise like in this video last night http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvyZWz9iYkQ
I'm quiet worried as I dont want to fried my system.

However today I turn power supply back on and it didnt make that nose so I turn it on and it wasnt making noise. My question is what should I do should I sent it back on warranty if so would they accept it? I got the power supply for almost 10 months and it just happen yesterday.

I'm going to send it back to corsair. Does anyone know how their warranty work. Do they test power supply then send new one. As the noise just came back but its not that loud as in video. But it starts as I plug it to the wall

Do you know how can I contact him as the psu makes the noise and it stops for while. In my case it made noise for around 20 minutes and I was trying to figure out where its coming from so I take my system out to test bench and I found it's psu. I alo read that it could be power cord so I swapped it for my friends one but noise persisted and went away fr while. Straight thing is that it makes that noise even when computer is off.

Thank you. I did call corsair but they was unable to tell me what it is. I even turn on my psu and let them listen through skype call that I made from my phone and representative was unable to tell me what to do. Eventually because he didnt know what could it be, he created a ticket for me for RMA which says high pitch noise/ Fans running 100%. Thank you again for messaging this guy. Hope he reply quickly.

Just saw the video, and yes that does sound good at all. It's best that we get it replaced asap. Post your ticket # and I'll see to it we handle your RMA right away.

Stulid thank you for contacting Greybeard. This is my ticket number #6532933. My concer with it is that psu makes this noise but when i turn psu off by unplugging it completely from wall for around 10 minutes noise goes away for about 30 minutes but then it comes back slowly to almost the noise that you could see in the video. Also do you know how long does it going to take to get it replaced as I live in UK.

I've got that approve for you. I've included a message in your ticket regarding Express RMA, that way you'll be able to avoid downtime with your system.

Thank you very much for your help. I'm going to send power supply today when I come back from school so in about 5 hours. Hopefully replacement will arrive soon.

Now I'm confused. Before sending power supply I plug it to my pc and it doesn't make any noise at all now. I don't know what to do right now. Is it common on power supply to make electric sound and stop? You can hear the sound from link from youtube video from post 1

Okay thank you for your reply as I was confused as yesterday it was making noise and today not at all. I'm going to send it tomorrow or today night. Yes I agree with you risk is not worth it and I couldn't afford new pc if psu is going to burn my entire system. Thanks for advice.
