Help needed

I have just ordered a NZXT S340. And i have just realised it does not have a 5.25" drive bay for a dvd drive. Though it is not something i use a lot, infact i only seem to use it when i am reinstalling windows. If i bought an external dvd rom, would it be able to install windows fine? it doesnt need to have drivers installed or anything? i have never had a external rom.

Other thing does anyone know how to transfer windows to a usb stick? i am currently on windows 10 due to the free upgrade from windows 7.

Yes, external DVD will boot fine.

Use roofus or the ms ISO tool to create a USB boot disk. Either or will work fine!

Just take the side of the case off when you are installing windows and hang your old CD drive out the side. Remove it when done.
