help neededscreen going strange

Hi i hope some one can help with a problem im getting with my screen.

this has happened 5 times since yesterday, if i go back to the desktop and back it rectifies itself.

anyone got any ideas what could be the cause before i dismantle my tower and wreck the lot

amd fx 6100, 8gb ram, 500watt psu and a msi twin frozr iii 6950 2gb.

im not sure i bought the tower off a friend months ago and theres nothing written on it when i open the side.

Sounds like cheap and nasty rubbish that won't get anywhere near 500w. Maybe 250w if you are lucky. A decent manufacturer will have their brand plastered all over it, some even have it embossed into the metal.

What res is the desktop, what res is the game, whats native res of your monitor etc
Can you plug it into your tv via hdmi to rule out the monitor?

Think I have solved it, I was using an lcd tv, I changed hdmi ports and played for 30 mins and didnt get the blue and pink screen.
