Help ! New build no display

Its a 2500k sandy bridge ? Have i just killed it ?

the latest (last) sandybridge Bios was 1.19

Ok im in the bios and its updated to 4.3, its trying to boot from the usb stick first and obv no os on that safe to take the usb stick out now he bios is updated ? It looks totally different too

If you had killed it it wouldn't be doing a thing.

Ok going to remove the usb stick then and try booting

Set the HDD or SSD or whatever has the OS installed onto it as the first boot device.

Done its now booting windows. Now to try the 280

The board predates the gfx card so until its told it exists it cant see it.

Wish this thread had happened a few days ago. had same issue with my new gpu. upgraded from 7870 to a 290 and was getting the same, everything spinning and starting but no display. Was there for a couple of hours checking drivers, reseating the card in different slots, trying all sorts of combinations with my psu cables in case it was an issue with that. Random chance thought about the mobo drivers etc and flashed the newest bios and all sorted. Upgrades never seem to go to plan, 1 thing always pops up to cause a bit of a headache.

I see, all is well and working now, bios stuff scares the nuts of me. Had a board 10 years ago bork on me ever since hate them lol
