Right bah... exhausted

Building a friends pc for him basically it turns on no beeps but all fans load just no signal going through to the monitor.

Tried reseating cpu,memory (1 and 2 sticks) all plugs gfx card. have tried my gfx card it it same problem. Really need to get this sorted asap.
The main power connector 24 pin and the additional 4 pin are in along with the power on the gfx card
all fans spin just no cigar.

Motherboard is a GA-MA770-DS3
Cpu 4400+
3850 512mb radeon

Try disconnecting all peripheralls, (CD/DVD /HD/ etc) and use OB Gfx to see it if gets to post. If that works try one thing at a time until you find the culprit.
 
Try using gfx card but everyting exlse disconnected, to see if it posts.

Disconect all the USB connectors on Mobo as well. The less that is connected, the less can go wrong.
 
I'm having this exact same issue. with Phenom 9500 2GB Geil DDR2 Ultra 800. I know it's not a shorting issue as I've built it out of the case. The only way so far I've got it to post, is to put 1 stick of ram in dimm3 and then rest the bios by removing the battery for half an hour. Once booted if I go into the bios set fail safe and then save bios, I'm back to black screen and no booting. I've tried different mem timings and mem volts.

The Graphics card and monitor are connected correctly, If only it was that simple. Thanks for your help tho.

I've just tested the ram in another machine and it passed memtest with no problems. I'm now off to test the cpu.
