HELP! New router - Inconsistent Speeds

I have been having internet connection issues for a number of weeks and pipex have said there are no problems with the line.

The problem was one minute it would work, then drop and come back up.

I was advised to try a new router (old one was a 6 year old Netgear DG834 v3).

I have bought a new router (Billion 7700n) and it appears to hold it's connection but the browsing speeds are inconsistent.

When first setup, the speeds on the Primary PC on the network were very fast and on the second, not quite as good.

After some basic setup tinkering the connection was equal on both PCs, a bit slower on the first and a bit faster on the second PC.

After an hour or so, the connection slows down but never seems to drop but is very slow and needs a refresh of the page, "repairing" the connection on windows 7 appears to help.

As i have generally just used the setup guides i really don't know what i am doing or what the symptoms mean.

Can somebody help?

Cheers

Andy

In case it helps, i have uploading some of the router info - I have blanked some the the addresses with Xs. :)

No need to bump the thread so soon.

Using WiFi? Tried different DNS servers?

Haha.

I am using a wired connection but all computers on the network have the same problem, all cables have been checked.

I have not tried a different DNS since connecting the new router.

What are my stats looking like?

Just got off the phone to Pipex (again).

There is a fault at the exchange.

Useless tech support, after 9 solid years, the way this has been dealth with (3 weeks) i don't think i would bother with them again.
