So I recently picked up an iPhone 6+ and took out an O2 Sim only deal, switched from T-Mobile and gave O2 my PAC code on 19th. The iPhone was working fine (with new number) and yesterday both phones lost network connectivity. I was thinking good, this is the number being transferred but all day yesterday no signal. I visited the O2 shop and the guy said all looked fine and to keep switching the iPhone off/on, have been doing that but today and still no network on either phone. I'm now starting to worry I have lost my number :(

Any ideas on what maybe the issue or what I can try to get the phone up and running as living of wifi is impossible. I have reset the network settings, taken out and re-inserted the sim. Have tried manually adding my number to the phones settings and still no luck.

Cheers!

I would if I had a working phone..... was in their store yesterday and the advice was keep switching off and of. Pah!

Turn the phone off, take sim out, start phone, once it's loaded in and settled, switch phone off again and re-insert sim, and switch on again, see if that helps? :)

Pretty sure you'll need to activate your sim!

I got caught out with this when I got a new nano sim from t mobile.

Can't remember how you do it though.

Edit.... sorry, thought you were switching to tmuk. Might still be the same with o2.

You need 02 to activate the sim.
You can do it on their website. Takes a few minutes and you'll be up and running. Search 02 sim swap

Go into the shop and use there phone. Ive done it in the past. The people in the shop wouldnt be able to tell you anything more than the people on this forum. Porting a number could take a few days this time of year. Ill bet there short staffed

Assuming the new SIM in any other phone also fails, this sounds like a failed PAC to me. Call O2 using another device and ask for a PAC process update on your acc. I don't think it's a SIM activation problem because the SIM worked before -
The iPhone was working fine (with new number)
