Help!! Not Sure What Upgrade To Go For

Hello new member here aka Noob!! I have some xmas money left over £400, and I want to spend it on my comp. Now the otherhalf wants me to put it towards our wedding

I currently run i5 2400, 670 GTX

Should I upgrade my GFX or go for a new CPU. Or should I save some more money so I can do a better system upgrade of both GFX and CPU?

I can see an SSD being a nice purchase if you don't have one.

Got a 27'' with the high res, 8 gig ram

If you really fancied blowing the budget and not putting it towards an evil wedding, how about a 4770k and a Z87 mobo? that would eat most of the budget lol

System is okay, but once in a while I get an itch to upgrade the comp. If I went to 4770k. Would I need a new power supply?

She's happy, she knows I worked hard at Xmas for the money so she's happy for me to spend it on what I want. I think doing the CPU maybe the way to go as I'm 2 generations behind now, but I want it all. By the way thank you for all the replies, this seems a great forum

What PSU do you have?

You don't need a haswell certified one.. The issue is haswell has low power sleep states and some PSU can't handle it..

These sleep states can be turned off in the BIOS though, so no need to worry.
