Hi All

I have been an AMD user for many years, my last AMD was an FX55 i overclocked this to 2.9Ghz and was happy with that.

I now have a Intel E6320 @ a pultrey(sp) 2.10 :( (on a standard cooler)

I have read up on this CPU everywhere i can, and most seem to get near 3.0Ghz.

I have a ASUS P5W DH Deluxe mobo and 2GB of Crucial Ballistic 6400 (800mhz 4-4-4-12)

I have tried loads of settings but cant even post :(

heres a screen of bios and current settings to get 2.10ghz

Also a bit confused with the dram frequency setting? CPUZ reports 2:3 ratio? and my timmings are out. but can find in bios where to set them.

Ive been a casual overclocker for years with (mostly) sucess, but this cpu/mobo combo has me foxed :o

All help and advise on settings would be greatly recieved!

if ** board is gigabtye 1 when u enter the bios hold ctrl and f1 it will give u hidden fetures also recomend u get another cooler as the standerd 1 isn't really that good for o/c

It could be the bios setup holding you back, you easily do 3ghz with that setup. Check mine below.

You'll also need more voltage to the CPU, set the CPU Vcore voltage to 1.45 to start and work from there. I've got mine at 1.50 to get 3.4ghz

The bios screen there looks a little confusing to me, can't see a lot of the standard settings the I've seen on my Giga DS3 and the DFI's I've had before.

to be honest youll be lucky to get 3.0 ghz with that board. you need 426 fsb really and that board struggles over 400. I know i have one, most people can get 415 if you really play with the settings. As far as your screenies go i would lower the ram to something below 800 because that may be preventing the boot.

P5WDH seems to clock better with ram at 1:1 i found. Also as mentioned update bios if it is not

Have updated Bios, found the 1:1 setting for RAM set the timings to 4-4-4-12 as per crucial, have set VCore to 1.4v and am now slowly raising the cpu fsb. but can still only post @ 2.1 :(

My temps are 28-30c idle below 40 under load.

Any other settings advice? :(
