Help of Choosing Components?

hey, can some help me i'm looking to upgrade my motherbaord Ram and CPU have a budjet of £550 maybe £600, thats all i need have everything else. I like the look of the new Abit AW9D-Max with a E6600 not sure about Ram though? or any other Combinations

I'd probably go with something like this, I don't know too much about the Abit motherboard although I am sure it is fine the Gigabyte appears to be more popular and is a great clocker.

Wouldn't a 975 motherboard be a better bet with the 6600 or mabye a 6300/6400 with the ds4
