Help on a Mini Server for £600.

I’m looking to set up my first server. I’m planning on doing some data backups, photos and also use it as a media server running Jellyfin. I’ve around 400 DVDs and UHD 4K films that I would like to transfer.

Any help or step by step advice would be great from what server, to storage, software and graphics.

I think you can probably spend half that and get a decent server.

I bought one about a year ago for around £300 with 16gb & an 8c amd CPU that is absolutely flying with proxmox on it. I've got jellyfin, alpine and two pihole containers on it, alongside a couple of vm's... And there's ample room for more.

You could pair one of those with a large nvme and off you go.
