Nice selecton of products, but i'm not that keen on INTEL.. (AMD Supporter)

lol, sorry it's just personal preference. If I did decide to go with your second option i would also need a new CPU Cooler, because my current one (listed above) only fit's AMD processors.

Seriously considering a swap across to INTEL, been doing some research on performance figures and this CPU seems to be excellent compared to the AMD Phenom's.

Is the selection above the best performance for the budget I have (£350) ?

it is, AMD have NOTHING to compete.

Cool, I really appreciate the help you have given me. Just to confirm that everything would work together, I will post what my entire build would look like below. If you could confirm that everything would work, I will go ahead a buy tomorrow evening.

Thanks again.

Build Spec (After Purchase)

CPU - Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge)
CPU Cooler - (Use the Stock CPU Cooler?)
Motherboard - MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge)
Memory - Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

Looks fine mate, just put the hdd into the SATA III ports on the mobo and your sorted :)

although i cant see why you would need a 700w PSU with a 4870 and a sandybridge? unless your thinking of upgrading in future like
